  1. P.S. Don't forget the basic who, what, when, where, how, and why elements of press release writing. You addressed the who, what, where, why and how; however, I could not find when.

  2. Janice, I'm not seeing my original comment about your social media news release (SMNR). I'm repubublising my feedback, here. The format of your press release is more traditional than it is social. Essentially, you have drafted a traditional press release, as it would appear on paper, with hyperlinks inserted. A social media news release has a much different format and look. As the authors of our course text pointed out, the social nature of new media is much more interactive than old media. Therefore, the SMNR must be created in a way that bloggers and digital journalists and more quickly access information: image, audio, and video files; keywords; sets of quotes; links; etc. Please go to the supplemental materials that I placed in Resources>Final Project>Blogging and review the video tutorial and my Weebly SMNR site, which I referred to in Lessons, The instructions and examples will give you a much better feel for what is required in an SMNR. Contact me if you have questions. Regards, Mark
